Advanced Skills Scholarship

The Advanced Skills Scholarship is available to employees of Emory Johns Creek Hospital who meet certain criteria established by the Auxiliary. Our goal is to support the advancement of employees in careers at EJCH. This scholarship is intended for specific classes, outside of a traditional college or master's program, that benefit the employee’s department.

This scholarship is not available for individual classes that are part of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a healthcare-related program. If you are working toward an advanced degree in a medical program, please apply for the Emory Johns Creek Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship. 

If you are interested in applying for the Advanced Skills Scholarship, speak to your supervisor. The awarding of scholarships will be at the discretion of the EJCH Auxiliary Scholarship Committee. Auxiliary approval will be provided in writing to recipients. 

Requirements and Instructions

• Applicants must be a full-time or regular part-time employee of Emory Johns Creek Hospital for at least one year 
• Submit a completed application packet with the required letter of recommendation, personal essay, and proof of course registration attached 
• The letter of recommendation must be from your immediate supervisor or department head, stating how the course will be beneficial for the applicant and their department
• The personal essay should explain how the Advanced Skills Scholarship will advance your career at EJCH within your department 

Payment will be made directly to the school/organization upon receipt of proper documentation. 

• This scholarship can be used for course registration fees, tuition, and books only. Funds may not be used for room, board, travel expenses, lodging or food.
